Daytrippers! is a collaboration between V&A Dundee and Local Heroes that supports designers by commissioning collectable, limited edition souvenirs. Glasgow-based artist Katie Smith's illustrative style mixes both analogue and digital techniques taking influence from nature and female beauty to promote wellbeing.
Here she uses a bright colour scheme to create a playful design titled The Swimmers depicting two figures gliding past one another through the refreshing cool turquoise waters of a lido on a sunny day. An exclusive Jacquard woven beach towel design, The Swimmers is a perfect summer souvenir.
