Based in Glasgow, Stefanie Cheong is an ethical jewellery designer whose passion for our earth’s history and geology underpins her craft. Using traditional stone cutting techniques, Stefanie transforms natural stones into striking stone circles designed to slot into the interchangeable silver brooch.
Each stone has a unique story to tell:
The Limestone comes from Kilkenny in Ireland, an integral part of architect Kengo Kuma’s design of the V&A Dundee. Each limestone circle has been beautifully crafted using off-cuts of the limestone floor tiles featured in the museum and comprises relics of ancient fossils, a fascinating characteristic of this natural stone.
The Marble featured in Cheong’s collection is unique to the Isle of Skye, part of Scotland’s Inner Hebrides. Formed 500 million years ago, Isle of Skye Marble is one of the only true marbles found in Britain.
The Jasper originates from St Cyrus, in the far south of Aberdeenshire in Scotland. Usually found in various colours, these opaque Jasper stone circles are available in a deep auburn-red and sage-like green and feature a smooth, textured speckled surface.
Silver interchangeable brooches are sold separately here.
Each stone circle is handcrafted and may vary slightly from the images.
