Daytrippers! is a collaboration between V&A Dundee and Local Heroes that supports designers by commissioning collectable, limited edition souvenirs. Part of the range celebrates Scotland’s native wildflowers with bespoke seed mixes by Scotia Seeds which when planted will help to support a wide variety of species. Moonlight Garden has been illustrated by Fiona Moon, a designer based in Edinburgh who blends simplicity with bold colour palettes across her stationary, prints and homeware. This bespoke seed mix includes seaside wildflowers whose night scented flowers attract the elusive but often lovely pollinators who visit after dark.

Contents:

Musk Mallow (Malva moschata) Wide, pale pink, delicate, tissue-like flowers in July and August that give off a delicate scent. Grows to 100cm.

Primrose (Primula vulgaris)

Nottingham Catchfly (Silene nutans) A rare plant in Scotland occurring on dry coastal grassland; a perennial with delicate drooping night-scented white flowers. Grows to 80cm.

Bladder Campion (Silene vulgaris) Striking, white flowers held on delicate stems The bladders give the impression of bubbles floating above the plant.

Sowing: Can be sown at any time of the year but best in early autumn or spring. Sow in trays or pots of moist compost and transplant to an open, well drained, sunny site or scatter the seed directly onto a fine-raked seed bed and firm down well. Keep the young plants weeded and watered but do not overwater
