A luxury handwoven wool scarf by independent Glasgow textile studio Vevar, created exclusively for V&A Dundee.
Woven in a striking palette of black, cream and hot pink, the scarf combines lambswool with nylon yarn, polyester thread, synthetic ribbon and fine stainless-steel chain to create a richly textured, contemporary tweed-effect finish.
Lengths of ribbon woven through the scarf carry the words “Made in Scotland”, while the delicate metal chain adds unexpected industrial detail and subtle shine.
Handwoven in Glasgow using traditional looms, the design brings together Scottish textile craftsmanship and bold contemporary colour.
Only ten scarves have been produced worldwide, making each piece a rare V&A Dundee exclusive and a collectible example of contemporary Scottish textile design.
