The way we look at cities and interact with places was irrevocably changed by the invention of photography. Today we have the power to instantly capture an image of a place and share it far and wide.
Inspired by our exhibition ‘Photo City: How Images Shape The Urban World’ this project is a creative photographic record of Dundee in the year 2024 captured through the lens of the camera by people visiting Dundee and those that call it home.
At 2pm, on the first Sunday of every month, a group pf people gathered at a predetermined location somewhere in Dundee, to walk together and photograph whatever they discovered. This book brings together a selection of the hundreds of photos taken on these walks, telling the stories of the people and the places that make our city special.
