As part of our Design and Disability exhibition range with our friends at gaada, we’re delighted to bring you The Weather Man - a screenprint by Shetland-based artist Robbie Burns. A weather forecast enthusiast, Robbie captures that all-too familiar ritual of checking the weather (and hoping for sunshine!), finding the joy, humour and character in these everyday moments.

Meet the maker:  At 79, Robbie Burns is gaada’s oldest member, whose drawing-based practice centres around measured and detailed line work with huge character! As well as a pen and a ruler, Robbie works with Risography, Screen Printing and Letterpress, taking inspiration from memories and everyday characters from his life. Toogs Artist Workshop forms part of gaada, an artist-led social enterprise providing resources, opportunities and support for artists across Shetland.
