A joyful piece of V&A Dundee jewellery, this handmade flower brooch is a colourful, design-led accessory inspired by nature and pattern. Crafted using traditional Japanese chiyogami washi paper, each brooch is finished by hand, making it a thoughtful gift and a unique keepsake.

The decorative washi paper is silk-screen printed by family-run paper studios across Japan using centuries-old techniques, then carefully applied to a blooming flower shape. Because the patterned paper is individually placed, every brooch varies slightly, ensuring no two are exactly alike.

  • Pink Dahlia, which has silvery traced dahlia patterns across a sumptuous pink background.
  • Rhubarb and Custard, a pretty yellow background with pink and white flowers and a delicate gold lustre detail.
  • Pastel Tropic, imagine a sorbet coloured luscious jungle print and you have this.
