Dundee became the UK's first UNESCO City of Design in 2018, when the city welcomed V&A Dundee, Scotland's design museum. This panel celebrates some of the important creative milestones that contribute to Dundee's continuing design renaissance. These include the Maggie's centre at Ninewells Hospital designed by Frank Gehry (2003): Kengo Kuma's award winning design for V&A Dundee and Lee Simmon's Tay Whale (2021).
