A luxury handwoven wool scarf by independent Glasgow textile studio Vevar, created exclusively for V&A Dundee in celebration of the David Bowie on Tour exhibition.

Woven in a bold palette of black, cream, pink and gold, the scarf combines lambswool with synthetic gold lamé strips to create a rich, textured tweed-like surface with flashes of metallic detail.

An oversized abstract houndstooth motif in gold heat-transfer foil runs across the scarf, forming a graphic lightning-bolt shape that references Bowie’s theatrical visual language.

Handwoven in Glasgow using traditional looms, the design brings together Scottish textile craftsmanship, contemporary pattern and a distinctly glamorous finish.

Only ten scarves have been produced worldwide, making each piece a rare V&A Dundee exclusive and a highly collectible example of contemporary Scottish textile design.
