The Dalmore Portfolio Series 1 is a 2024 limited-edition Highland single malt Scotch whisky finished in casks from one of Bordeaux’s oldest and most prestigious wine estates.
Limited to just 5,000 bottles worldwide, this distinctive release combines The Dalmore’s whisky-making expertise with specially commissioned artwork created for V&A Dundee’s Portfolio Series.
Each bottle is presented in a bold limited-edition box designed by Edinburgh-based visual artist Fraser Gray. His abstract design draws inspiration from unusual architectural details found within The Dalmore distillery, using a vibrant colour palette influenced by the whisky’s flavour profile.
Flavour profile
Aroma: Lemon drizzle cake, Manuka honey, grape pulp and Golden Delicious apple.
Palate: Rich vanilla, citrus and ripe fruit.
Finish: Poached pear with creamy custard.

The Portfolio Series pairs specially commissioned works of art with masterpieces of whisky making. The V&A Dundee worked with The Dalmore to find partners who could produce masterpieces of design tailored to accompany the trio of whiskies. The Portfolio Series 2024 Designer Fraser Gray is an Edinburgh-based visual artist who's abstract packaging design for the series depicts unusual angles taken from the architecture of The Dalmore distillery and features a bold colour palette, inspired by the flavours found within the three whiskies.
